This guy looked cool, had to ask him for a picture.
This is the result.

angry
This was a few blocks before it was suggested to me that I turn back.
Me being dressed like a prep, with my fancy Seiko watch, polo shirt, silver pentax, and silver chain, later agreed that I should maybe not continue down the road.
I found the shadows and shapes quite interesting, and this is probably one of my favorite shots I took on that walk down town.

On my way back home this store again caught my eye. Its sad to see these stores close down. I think its a shame that they have to move into horrible shopping centers and inflate their prices so they can afford the rent. But I guess its a sign of the times.

cyclist in red
Walking though to the grand parade I decided to follow Sir Lowrey Road till it turned into Woodstock main road.
This one came out horribly overexposed, 100ASA probably would have yielded better results with these settings, regardless I figured I'd try and fix it my manipulating the curves in photoshop.

This section of the Woodstock main road had loads of fabric shops.
This was one of them.

people watching
Was strolling though woodstock mainroad, and spotted these two on the balcony, probably having a smoke and watching how sparce this normally busy street was on this public holiday.

Thought I'd walk down town, and shoot some buildings. I'm reasonably happy with how the sky came out. I like catching flares in my lens every now and then.

After loading in a fresh roll of film, these two seemed pretty interested, and keen that I take their photo.
So I did, which was followed by a "Do you have any spare change."

hitchhiker
The hitch hiker. Not wanting to wast too much film I only took two shots.
I wanted to capture the movment in the car as well as get this character in clearly.
Next time I do something like this I think I'll be sure to grab a few more shots.
I think this has does work to some degree, as the car clearly isn't stopping; however I would personally like to see a bit more of the hitch hiker.
As I said I only took two shots, this one tells a better story I think.

goodbye
One of the first photos I've taken with my new Tamron 80-250mm 1.3.8. With this new powerful lens, I had no trouble shooting this out of the window of my friends apartment.
Felt a bit like a spy or a PI.

Was playing around with the telephoto converter that my Dad found.
Looking at it now it reminds me of still life I saw in a art book this weekend.

Movie night at a friends place, figured I'd take the camera along and try shooting at lower speeds than I'm used to. I'm happy with the results.

If you've ever seen these bikes on the road, you might agree that they have one of the best sounding engines ever. I nearly bought one that had been done up as a cafe racer. Rides a bit like a tractor in my opinion, but still cool none the less, till you bang your shins on the engine.

Some one I passed by,
Thought he had a interesting face.
Asked him if I could take his picture and he was happy to oblige.

While waiting for the birthday boy to come home, I thought I'd try my hand at what I suppose I would call, a constructed picture. although these items where on my friends desk, I merely arranged them to better suit my purpose.
Notes to follow.

I had to wait quite patiently for her to light her cig.
Its a pity I couldn't get a sharper focus on the girl at the end of the table. Thinking back I think a slower f.stop may have been a better choice, considering how strange the other pictures came out.

On a walk about I framed this up, and I tried to expose properly for the sky.
The more I look at this image the more I think I've been able to tell some sort of a story...even if it is just, a story about a van driver delivering some stuff.
