shooting

shooting, originally uploaded by sharpishsnapper.

With the cost of the film I was using I was constantly waiting for the right shot, framed everything up and watched these guys play. I must admit I did hesitate when these guys where better positioned, and at one time, there was another group playing on the table in the foreground, and everything had lined up beautifully. I hesitated hoping for something better. At least now I know what to look for, and hopefully next time I'll be locked and loaded.
I wanted to try a higher f.stop, to get more detail in the shot, while there was movement on the table. I think reasonably well and captured what I wanted.
Settings: f4; 1/8
Camera: Pentax S1
Lens: Takumar 55mm f2
Film: Fujifilm Superia Xtra 800ASA

Taken on the 14 Sep 2011 at my regular haunt, the Shack.
Cheap drinks, cheap pool and good company. Its easy to get a few games in on a quiet night. This is where I cut my teeth playing pool, and so I figured it should be appropriate that this is where I cut my teeth with my pool bar project. So I've been using this venue as a testing ground for various brands and speeds of film, along with the lenses in my collection.
